Houston police are investigating the fatal shootings of a man and woman, the wounding of two other women, and the apparent suicide of a man at 11614 Manor Park Drive about 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday (November 18).
The identities of the man, 59, and the woman, 25, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hollohazy and Officer C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting with multiple victims at the above address and found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the driveway. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased. Officers were advised by police dispatch the shooter and additional victims were possibly inside the residence.
Officers entered the residence and found a second adult male in the doorway with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. As officers searched the residence, they located two adult female victims with gunshot wounds. A third adult female was located in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased. An infant was also found, unharmed, in an upstairs bedroom.
The male was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The two wounded females were transported to an area hospital in unknown conditions. The baby was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
A preliminary investigation determined all the individuals involved lived at the residence and are related. At this time, it is believed the male deceased from the apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound was the only shooter.
