Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occured at 11212 Westpark Drive about 10:15 p.m. last Friday (February 11).
The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Bowling and L. Kauffman reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a discharge of firearms call at an apartment complex at the above address and found an apartment with bullet holes in the doorway and blood. After not receiving a response from inside the apartment, officers made entry and found a male near the front door. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined two males were seen running from the scene. The males then got into a red vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
