| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1100 McIlhenny Street about 2:50 a.m. on Saturday (January 9).
The victim, Layvon Suell, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detective D. Stark reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of McIlhenny Street and San Jacinto Street. They found Mr. Suell lying in the middle of McIlhenny Street, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses reported seeing Mr. Suell leave a nightclub in the 2400 block of San Jacinto Street. He was walking down McIlhenny when an unknown black male began shooting, fatally striking Suell. No other individuals were reported as being struck.
