Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of another at 1050 West Rankin Road about 1:55 a.m. today (June 9).
The identities of the deceased victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The other wounded male, 43, remains in an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in a commercial shopping center parking lot at the above address and found three males in the parking lot. Each had gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced one of the victims deceased. The other two victims were transported to an area hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated the males were talking to an individual, described only as a black male, in the parking lot prior to the shooting.
