Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 10215 Beechnut Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10215 Beechnut Street about 10:15 p.m. last Friday (Sept. 30).

The identity of the victim, 43, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Arrington and K. Meek reported:

Officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address where they found the victim unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his pickup truck.  Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

Witnesses stated an unknown black male suspect got into a verbal and physical altercation with the victim that escalated when the suspect shot the man as he sat in his pickup truck.  The suspect then fled the scene in either a four-door SUV or a sedan.
