| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1001 Grenfell Street about 12:35 a.m. today (September 9).
The victim, Adrian Puerto, 18, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Condon and J. Brown reported:
Mr. Puerto was in his bedroom when he was shot through the door by an unknown suspect with a rifle. Paramedics transported Puerto to the hospital. A light-colored, four-door sedan was seen leaving the residence shortly after the shooting. Family members in the residence stated they heard gunshots but did not witness the shooting.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
