| Houston police have learned a woman critically injured in a crash at 9800 Ramey Street about 12:25 p.m. on August 20 has died.
The identity of the woman, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham reported:
The woman was driving a black Nissan Rogue at a high rate of speed westbound at the above address. The Rogue ran a stop sign and then struck a tree. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital. She was then transported via Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition.
Doctors pronounced the victim deceased on Saturday (August 27).
The investigation is continuing.
