| Houston police are learned a man critically injured in a crash at 9700 Richmond Avenue about 7:40 p.m. on October 24 has died.
The identity of the male, 59, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer D. Ortega reported:
The male, a pedestrian, attempted to cross the street at the above address – not in a crosswalk – and was struck by a silver Infiniti G35 traveling in the westbound lanes. The male was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
On Tuesday (October 31), doctors pronounced the man deceased.
The male driver, 69, remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
