| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9500 Richmond Avenue about 3:25 a.m. today (October 5).
The identity of the deceased female, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Best reported:
The female was driving a black Hyundai Elantra westbound near the above address when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole. The Hyundai then struck two signs and a second light pole. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
