Houston police have learned that a man critically injured in a crash at 9000 Cullen Boulevard about 9:40 p.m. on May 22 has died.
The identity of the man, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and Southeast Patrol Division officers reported:
The man, a pedestrian, crossed the street – not in a crosswalk- near the above address and was struck by a blue Jeep Patriot traveling northbound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Tuesday (May 28).
The male driver, 37, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
