Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8900 Bellaire Boulevard

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8900 Bellaire Boulevard about 4:05 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 2).

The identity of the deceased male, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Duval reported:

The male was driving a black Toyota Scion at a high rate of speed eastbound at the above address when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a traffic light pole.  Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.  A male passenger, 26, was transported to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
