Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 8800 South Braeswood Boulevard about 10 p.m. on Sunday (July 30).
The identity of the victim, 71, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Syed reported:
The victim was pushing an empty stroller in the crosswalk at the above address when an unknown white SUV disregarded a red light and struck the victim. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center where doctors pronounced him deceased.
The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop to render aid.
