HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer M. Serafine reported:
The driver of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Howard and the above address and then made a right turn onto the northbound service road. The victim was on a bicycle riding out of a gas station parking lot near the above address and was struck by the pickup truck.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and evaluated the victim, who refused medical assistance. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and was questioned and released. A preliminary investigation indicated the woman failed to yield the right-of-way to the pickup truck.
No charges have been fled at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
