Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8200 Telephone Road about 3:45 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 27).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer W. Smith reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the street – not at a crosswalk or intersection – at the above address when he was struck by an 18-wheeler traveling southbound on Telephone Road. The driver was questioned, did not show signs of intoxication and was released. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
