Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8100 Bellaire Boulevard

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8100 Bellaire Boulevard about 7:50 a.m. on Thursday (Jan. 18).

The identity of the deceased female, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Senior Police Officer R. Saenz reported:

The female was driving a Toyota RAV4 southbound in the 6600 block of Waldo Street and attempted to make a left turn from a stop sign onto Bellaire Boulevard when her vehicle was struck by a blue MINI Cooper traveling westbound on Bellaire Boulevard.  Paramedics arrived and pronounced the female deceased.

The male driver, 18, of the MINI was questioned and did not show signs of intoxication.  He and a passenger were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
