Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 7900 Westheimer Road about 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday (September 24).
The male victim, 28, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where, on Wednesday (September 25), he was pronounced deceased. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Hill reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing Westheimer Road at the above address- not in a crosswalk- when he was struck by a silver Honda sedan traveling eastbound. The driver of the Honda fled the scene.
