| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7800 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road about 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday (June 23).
The identity of the female victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The victim was driving a silver Nissan Sentra northbound near the above address, failed to drive in a single lane and struck a concrete light pole. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
