| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 6900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard about 6:05 p.m. on Monday (November 20).
The identity of the deceased male, 43, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer D. Thompson reported:
The male was walking westbound across Martin Luther King Boulevard – not in a crosswalk – with cars passing him in a moving lane of traffic. The male was struck by a blue Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Martin Luther King. The male was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
The male driver of the Toyota, 82, remained at the scene. He was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
