Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6800 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 1:25 p.m. on Monday (April 12).
The identity of the male victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the street at the above address while not in a cross walk when he was struck by a gray Ford Focus. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female driver of the Focus remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
There are no charges in this case. The investigation is continuing.
