Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6798 West Little York Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6798 West Little York Road about 5:35 a.m. today (November 8).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Tran reported:  

The victim was driving a gray Toyota Corolla and had driven onto the esplanade where the vehicle became disabled.  The victim then exited his vehicle and crossed the intersection – not at a crosswalk –  when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling eastbound on West Little York.  The victim was pronounced deceased.  

The driver of the Chevrolet, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.  

The investigation is continuing.
