Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6700 South Freeway (State Highwy 288 South) about 6:35 p.m. on Monday (November 29).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer C. Loring reported: The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a white Toyota Highlander. He was transported to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The Toyota’s driver exited the freeway and called 9-1-1 from a nearby restaurant parking lot. The driver showed no signs of intoxication and was questioned and released. There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing. KJS/JKS 11-30-21 Inc. #160007821-H
