Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6300 Richmond Avenue about 8:10 p.m. on Sunday (February 18).
The identities of the two deceased victims – a female, 30, and a male, age unknown – are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer T. Pham reported: A black Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound near the above address when its driver struck the rear of a gray Toyota Scion, also traveling westbound on Richmond. The Scion then struck a tree and the Camry also struck a separate tree a short distance away. The female driver of the Scion and one of her male passengers were pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. Two juvenile passengers, 5 and 10, in the Scion were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Camry’s male driver, 19, was determined not to be impaired and was transported to an area hospital. No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
