HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer V. Ramos reported:
The driver of a black Maserati pulled out of a private drive into westbound traffic at the above address. As the driver attempted to get to the median to go eastbound on Richmond Avenue, he stated he saw a motorcycle approaching from down the street, but thought he had time to make the turn. As the driver was making the turn, the motorcycle, a red Ducati, struck the Maserati. The motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene. The driver, 35, of the Maserati consented to a blood draw.
