Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6200 North Main street about 12:10 p.m. today (August 16).
The male victim, 70, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer E. Morgado reported:
The victim was on a bicycle and traveling westbound on East 23rd when he ran a stop sign and was struck by a blue Nissan Frontier pickup truck traveling northbound on North Main Street. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
There are no charges in this incident, pending further investigation.
