| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6100 Richmond Avenue about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday (March 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 75, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The male, a pedestrian, was believed to be crossing from the south side of the street – not in a crosswalk – near the above address when he was struck by a black Chrysler Pacifica traveling westbound on Richmond Avenue. The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to Memorial Hermann -Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
The male driver, 35, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
