Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 5900 Bellaire Boulevard about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday (June 8).
The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD South Gessner Patrol Division Officer M. Meador reported:
A blue or black Ford SUV was traveling eastbound at the above address when it struck the victim (pedestrian) in the roadway. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased today (June 9).
