Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5700 Lockwood Drive

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 5700 Lockwood Drive about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 15).The identity of the male victim, 59, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer S. Bouarar reported:A black Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling northbound at the above address as the male, a pedestrian, was crossing the street, not in a crosswalk.  The driver of the Dodge struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.  Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the wanted driver and/or the vehicle is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.JFC/VHS 10-17-22Inc #139681622-O
