Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5600 North Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5600 North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 North) about 12:20 p.m. on Sunday (May 28).

The identities of the male victim, 20, and female victim, 19, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer T. Tran reported:

Seven various vehicles – three motorcycles and four cars – were involved in a crash at the above address.

These types of accidents happen all the time and can leave the victims injured and out of pocket. If this has happened to you then it might be worth looking at pages like https://www.stewartlawoffices.net/beaufort-personal-injury-lawyers/motorcycle-accident-lawyer/ to see if you can claim for compensation. It is unfortunate that so many vehicles were involved in this accident.

The vehicles were traveling southbound on the North Freeway in stop-and-go traffic when a chain-reaction crash occurred. A male operating a red Honda CBR motorcycle failed to maintain a single lane and control his speed when he struck the rear of a white Chevrolet Camaro. This is commonly seen in cases handled by an Austin motorcycle accident lawyer, and is sadly often caused by a myriad of factors that are difficult to control. The motorcycle was then struck by a gray Chevrolet Traverse. The motorcyclist was not seriously injured, despite the fact that collisions like these usually end in a personal injury case that requires legal assistance.

Another motorcyclist, a female operating a white Daytona motorcycle, failed to control her speed and struck the Traverse. The female sustained a serious injury to her left foot and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. A third motorcycle, a blue Suzuki model operated by a male with a female passenger, failed to control its speed and struck a Porsche Cayenne SUV. Both persons on the Suzuki motorcycle were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
