| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5600 Antoine Drive about 12 a.m.on Saturday (September 21).
The identity of the male victim, 50, a pedestrian, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The driver of a blue Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was traveling southbound near the above address just south of the intersection of Tidwell when the victim stepped into the roadway from a poorly lit area of the median that was obscured by trees. The pickup truck struck the victim and the driver stopped to provide medical assistance. The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital and later transported via Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the pickup was determined not to be impaired.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
