| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 501 West Dallas Street about 1 a.m. today (September 25).
The identity of the male victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer J. Johnson reported:
According to witnesses, the victim was driving an orange Jaguar northbound on the Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road at a high rate of speed and drove through the intersection at the above address. The Jaguar then went onto a curb and struck a concrete column. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
