| A male critically injured in an auto-pedestrian crash at 4900 North Shepherd Drive about 9 p.m. on November 2 has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden, Officer A. Mares and North Patrol Division Officer J. Scaggs reported:
The victim was crossing North Shepherd, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a gold Buick LeSabre traveling northbound on Shepherd. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. The driver, who was determined not to be impaired, remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
Doctors pronounced the victim deceased on Tuesday (November 5).
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
