| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4900 Fannin Street about 10:50 a.m. today (April 26).
The identity of the deceased male, 80, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer J. Campbell reported:
The male was driving a white GMC Jimmy southbound at the above address when he ran the red light at the intersection of Wichita Street. A blue Volvo XC60, with the green light, entered the intersection and struck the GMC. The impact caused the GMC to roll over and eject the driver.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The driver of the Volvo was not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
