Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4800 North McCarty Street about 10:40 a.m. today (October 12).
The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Senior Police Officer R. Saenz reported:
The victim was operating a black Yamaha motorcycle traveling northeast on McCarty Street near the above address. While traveling at an unsafe speed, and driving on the wrong side of the road, he struck a red Toyota Camry traveling southwest on McCarty Street.
The motorcyclist was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
The investigation is continuing.
