| Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 4697 South Braeswood Boulevard that occurred about 6:35 p.m. on Saturday (February 27).
The identity of the female victim, 66, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Jewell and Officer C. Song reported:
The victim was driving a black Toyota Corolla eastbound on South Braeswood when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a small tree. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim may have suffered a medical emergency.
