Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4500 North Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4500 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 1 a.m. today (March 4).  

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer R. Young reported:  

The male, a pedestrian, was on the main lanes of the freeway and was previously seen pacing in the roadway.  While in the southbound lanes of the freeway, the male was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model and was possibly struck by other vehicles.  A passing motorist saw the male and called 9-1-1. 

At this time, there is no known vehicle or suspect description.
