A woman critically injured in a crash at 4400 West 18th Street about 7:10 p.m. on May 14 has died.
The identity of the victim, 56, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and North Patrol Division officers reported:
The victim was a passenger in a white Chrysler 200 whose driver disregarded a stop and go signal while traveling westbound at the above address. The Chrysler was struck on its passenger side by a blue Ford Explorer traveling southbound on the North Freeway service road. The impact caused the Chrysler to spin and strike a crosswalk signal and the Ford to spin and strike a black Chevrolet Corvette.
Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced deceased last Friday (July 5).
The investigation is continuing.
