| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4400 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 8 a.m. on Saturday (April 5).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer Z. Alikhan reported:
The male, a pedestrian, was on the main lanes of the freeway near the above address and crossing from east to west when he was struck by a white GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling northbound. The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The driver was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
