Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 4400 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 5:10 a.m. today (April 29).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
A vehicle believed to be traveling northbound at the above address struck the victim, a pedestrian, who was either walking on the shoulder or attempting to cross the freeway. The driver failed to stop and render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The make and model of the wanted vehicle has not been determined.
