Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 400 East Little York Road about 8:20 p.m. on Saturday (March 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 63, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Kumar reported:
The male was driving a gray Ford Explorer westbound at the above address when, for unknown reasons, the Ford struck a white Chevrolet Silverado 2500. As the two vehicles pulled over to exchange information the driver of the Explorer struck the Silverado a second time from behind. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver of the Ford to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where doctors pronounced him deceased.
The male driver, 21, of the Chevrolet and female passenger, 48, in the Ford were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
