| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3800 Emancipation Avenue about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday (January 20).
The identity of the male victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer J. Johnson reported:
The victim was driving an orange Chevrolet Corvette southbound on Emancipation Avenue when he failed to stay in a single lane and struck a tree. The driver was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
