Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 3500 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 3:45 a.m. on Sunday (March 22).
The identity of the deceased male, 51, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer M. Keita reported:
The driver of a silver Honda Odyssey was travelling southbound on the North Freeway when the vehicle struck a mlae pedestrian attempting to cross the main lanes of the freeway. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
Then investigation is ongoing.
