Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 3100 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 12:45 a.m. today (Dec. 12).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer J. Wu reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
