| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3000 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 10:05 p.m. on Saturday (February 4).
The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer R. Guzman reported:
The driver of a green Chevrolet Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound near the above address. According to witnesses, the Corvette spun several times, struck a retention wall and then rolled over.
The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The investigation is continuing.
