Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2400 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 9:10 a.m. on Sunday (May 25).
The identity of the deceased male, 39, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Leon reported:
A blue Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling eastbound at the above address.The driver attempted to take the exit ramp to Highway 59 South and struck the concrete barrier causing the vehicle to flip several times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
