Houston police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash in the 2200 block of South State Highway 6 about 12:25 a.m. on Sunday (May 25).
The male victim is identified as Ayodeji Abiola, 40.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Guzman reported:
A white Cadillac CTS and brown BMW 3 Series were traveling northbound at a high rate of speed at the above address. The Cadillac drove onto the right shoulder, striking Mr. Abiola, then continued without stopping to render aid.
A male passenger in Cadillac was then either thrown or jumped out of the vehicle while it was in motion. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
