Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2100 North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610 West) service road that occurred about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (October 22).
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Pham reported:
The victim is believed to have been walking in one of the lanes on the North Loop service road when she was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model near the 2600 block of Citadel Plaza Drive. A passer-by saw the female’s body in the roadway and called 9-1-1.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
At this time, there is no known vehicle or suspect description.
