Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 18801 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 12:45 a.m. today (May 18).
The identity of the male victim, 44, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The victim was driving a white Ford transit van eastbound at the above address when he left the roadway. The van overturned in wooded area between the service road and the freeway. The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
