| Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 1700 Almeda Genoa Road about 8:40 p.m. on Saturday (February 15).
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer T. Hudson reported:
The male, a pedestrian, was walking in a moving lane of traffic near the above address when he was struck by a white Toyota Camry traveling eastbound.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. It is believed the male may have come from a venue at 13700 Karalis Road, just south of Almeda Genoa.
The driver of the Toyota, who remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
