Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 15400 Hempstead Road about 2:20 a.m. today (Oct. 11).
The identity of the deceased male, 64, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Johnson reported:
The male, a pedestrian, was walking in the roadway at the above address when he was struck by a red Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling eastbound. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
