Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15088 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 1:40 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 6).
The identity of the deceased male, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer C. Vargas reported:
The male was driving a gray Nissan Titan pickup truck northbound on the freeway and exited at Greens road when he lost control of the truck. The vehicle left the roadway, and struck a guard rail and a concrete pillar.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood where doctors later pronounced him deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
